Compare the complete interfaces
Compare the drawings and identify the dimensions and tolerances that control engagement. Review the head, contact areas, opening, locking travel, recess clearance, link movement, and any relevant coating effect.

Keep approved systems separate in the plant
Use clear references, durable identification, designated storage, and an issue record for reusable clutches. Separate systems and classes physically rather than relying only on colour.
Receiving staff should compare the product, marking, drawing revision, documents, and packaging label with the purchase order. Quarantine ambiguous deliveries. Do not merge an alternative clutch into existing stock before its identity and approval status are visible to the crane crew.
